Burgoo does stew- among other things. This restaurant’s focus is on comfort food, such as soups and sandwiches, as well as fondue. I enjoyed a quick meal here of some very nice fondue (not enough bread and grapes to go with it, sadly) and soup, although I can’t remember which type…

The atmosphere is rustic, with a modern edge. The lighting is pleasant, a little dim, lending warmth- it was definitely inviting. This is a place where a lunch and dinner can easily, and should, be taken at a relaxed pace. Burgoo’s wooden tables and chairs are set closely side-by-side in certain sections- so don’t eat too much stew.

Burgoo looks out on West 10th in Point Grey and has a small patio in front. There is also another recently opened location in North Vancouver on Lonsdale- something to check out!
